Lettering styles are done by using different techniques and tools. Not to get letter styles confused with letter fonts, the styles are the way the fonts are cut into the granite. The different styles are the regular sandblast, frosted outline, polished edge, v-sunk, square raised and round raised.
Sandblast – Letter style cut deep into the steeled area creating a v shape.
Frosted Outline – Letter style where the letters are steeled and have a deep line cut around them.
Polished Edge – Letter style where the center of the letter is sandblasted deep with a polish edge/outline around the sandblasted letter.
V-Sunk – A hand tooled letter style chiseled to a V directly into the polished.
Square Raised – A hand tooled letter style where the letter is left polished and the background is chiseled away.
Round Raised – Another hand tooled letter style basically done the same way as the Square Raised style but the letter is rounded.
